Teething Necklace...
Molly is working hard on her back molars. It is so hard to see your little one in pain.
"Amber teething necklace is a traditional baby teething remedy. A natural analgesic, amber used for centuries in Europe. Wearing Baltic amber close to the skin will help calm a baby without resorting to drugs. Natural anti-inflammatory and pain relieving properties of Baltic amber are perfect to soothe teething babies."
We were unsure of the above claims but after another rough night i figured, it couldn't hurt to try.
Last night, Molly slept very well. Is it a fluke? Who knows, but it can't hurt...and it is cute!

Summer is gone....
Today is the first official day of fall. We have really lucked out, this past month has been a preview for fall. Molly has enjoyed being outside, we try to walk daily. She knows we are home and points to out jayhawk flag...saying JAAY-HAAWWK! it is super sweet, and of course Joe is proud.
Molly is such an amazing creature. Everyday she is learning something new, Joe and I are in awe. Today for example, she kept pointing to her head saying hat. She also imitates us, washing hands, blowing kisses and doing a war cry. Here are some highlights from our past weekend.

Art Fair~
Today was beautiful, so Molly and I headed to the Westport Art Fair. I think it is important to expose Molly to all sorts of things. She loved looking at the creations and people watching. Murrays is a must do when in westport so today was Molly's first taste. When I was pregnant I craved lemon so we shared a lemon sorbet soda. She really enjoyed it. Folks around loved seeing her show off her flexibility.

The family celebrated Great Grandma Z's birthday this evening. My grandma is one of my favorite people and celebrating her life is a joy. Last year she had a heart attack, and we were told she may not make it. We are so lucky to have her. She and I have been the best of friends for as long as I can remember, and i am so glad that she is here to watch me with my baby. The party was great! Mom and Dad had a wonderful fish fry. Molly loved it! Little goofball was so excited about the party that she did not nap, not for lack of effort on our part. You will notice in some of these pictures she is exhausted, but she was our happy girl. I love the picture of her watching Nathan play guitar, perhaps a musical girl??

Settlers Days
Molly and I took dinner over to Rachel and Phil. A new mama has more to do then worry about food! We then went to Settlers Days in Olathe. Molly had a great time people watching, but i think baby Jack was her favorite thing to watch.
Before taking off we had to go hear some music, Molly loves dancing to a good live band.

End of August
I misplaced my camera, sorry for delay in blog update. Molly now has 6 teeth, 4 on top and 2 on the bottom. We had another play date with James and Jennifer, this time Morgan and Jami joined in the fun. Hope to get with them on a regular basis. James and Morgan are both about 4 months older then Molly. They walk and climb and she watches them in delight. She will be right there along side them soon!
Molly is transitioning to 1 nap a day, but as you can see here she was ready for another!
Molly just loves her daddy! Here are 2 of my recent favorites.
It is hard to believe it is August, we have had some cool days~leg warmers are a must have for the fashionista.
