Morning with the cousins

Molly had a fantastic morning with Isobel and Annie. We had a picnic brunch, played on the swing set, blew bubbles, built castles in the sandbox, then a snack of apples and peanut butter! What a great morning.

Cowgirl

Grandpa Hank sent molly these boots when she was born. We just adore this picture.

Daddy's girl

Molly loves her daddy. Lately everything she does, she wants to "show daddy!" she bask in his approval. It makes my heart happy to witness the love they share. He is wonderful with her.

Time with grams

It means the world to me that Molly has a relationship with my grandma.

Special time

Molly sure loves grandma and papa! Look how happy she is. :)

Next Phase

I am so grateful that i have been a stay at home mama for the past 21 months. Joe has worked so hard to make this happen. I know, hands down this has been to absolute best choice for molly and i. She is so smart, happy and super healthy, and has a solid secure foundation. She knows that her mama and daddy are there for her, and that she is our number 1 priority.
As they say, though, 'shit happens.' It is has, snowball effect. Cliff note version is Joe got laid off, after 2 of his paychecks have bounced, and clearly no schools in session for summer. With this i have decided that i must go to work. I am starting tomorrow at Global Montessori on the plaza. I am starting as a part time sub, but i have told them to work me as much as they need me with the intent of full time employment. The silver lining is that Molly will be attending at this fantastic school as soon as they have an opening. In the meantime, Joe and grandma are on deck. I know molly will do great with them. I am certain she will do better then me, but this is what i have to do. Joe is looking very hard and hopefully, something will work out for him quickly. Please think of us all as we enter this new phase.

Magic Quilt

My grams made this adorable quilt for sweet little molly, back when molly was just a thought. She knew her quilt making days were almost over. Today, i moved the quilt into our bedroom. Ever since molly was brand spankin new she needed to nurse to sleep. Tonight, however she requested the doggy quilt.... She snuggled up with her quilt, i laid beside her and watched. Her eyelid's got droopier and droopier, and lo and behold! The magic quilt put her to sleep. I can not wait to share the exciting news with my grams.

El Maguey

Dining out is such a distant memory. Molly is really hard to wrangle, and being a SAHM means being on a budget. Tonight, however we decided to hit a local Mexican restaurant. Molly *loved it** and she was so good!!! She was dipping chips in the salsa and cheese dip, eating rice, fajita chicken and taco. When we came home we did bubbles in the back. Such a great night with my little family.

Milk....

Molly has been super interested in drinking milk. She still nurses, but has yet to have *milk*. She has been drinking water, juice and keifer since 6 months, but for some reason this made me a little teary. She loved it, and of course still wants mama milk for nap and bedtime. :) but as i was telling my mom this, i was thinking, children always need their mama's no matter what age.

Welcome to the world, baby E.

Edwin Atwood Reed, the fifth made his debut 5/3. Tammy, Ed,Madelyn and baby Edwin are doing great. We went to meet the little man today, molly loved him. She has been talking about baby edwin all day. And of course, she had a blast with her buddy madelyn.

Sleepin' with rings....

As you recall last month molly fell asleep with golf balls. Tonight, it was rings.

happy girl

Molly is so much fun! Here she is being a silly girl. She puts on her "hat" and say "how you do???" which is something my grandpa used to say to me.
and of course she is only sitting still, because she has food. :) molly is seriously like a little ping pong ball!

happy may day.
