Bubble Fun

I filled a big bowl with some water and TONS of soap and had an empty bowl. Molly loved the bubbles, and she used a measure scoop to fill the empty bowl. All the while wisking the bubbles. She just laughed and said, "bubbles, fun!" This was a great way to clean my kitchen floor.

Curlers

Molly loves to stick velcro rollers in her hair. Silly girl!

A day in the life of Molly

Molly woke up this morning eager to look at her books. I love watching her do this, but this morning instead of Molly asking me to read it to her, she read it to me! It was her book of opposites, she was looking at the pages and reciting...day/night, hot/cold.

We then went the grocery store. It had been almost a month since she has gone with me. What a difference a month makes! I was cracking up as we were going through the store she knew what everything was...milk, eggs, o's (cereal) crackers, pizza, apples, banana's, turkey, yogurt (egurt) ...and wanted "some and taste!" she really didn't understand that you can't just eat it right then and there. :)
Later when we got home she spilt some of her water. She then walked into the kitchen, got in the towel basket came back and dried it up. I just watched, eyes open, man she is cool.

Trampoline fun

Molly and i went to open gym for littles today. She loved the trampoline, look at that smile!

Thaw

Temperatures are rising, the snow is melting, and Molly and i are finally getting out of the house! We went to Lee's Summit to see my grandma, and then we made it over to my folks. Molly loves going over and playing with all the toys. She got sooo excited when papa got out his mandolin and played her some music, just look at her face!

Molly is learning how to have actually conversations now and she is too funny! This was our conversation the other day.
Molly~ "cookie?"
Me~ "not now"
Molly~ "NOW"
Me~ "not now"
Molly~ "ShooT!!"
It was so funny! Then yesterday we were heading out to a friends house, i had just gotten her dressed, and she pooped (because that is how it works :) When i said,"Molly, you pooped." she looked at me and smiled and said, "it happens..." Silly monkey girl.

like father, like child

Molly takes her KU basketball with her all over the house, and times she even wants to eat with it.

Arctic Blast

We are still under the Arctic blast! Joe had to run out last night to pick up a few things at the store. When he returned he brought in a 3 foot icicle that was hanging from our house. Molly thought it was pretty cool.

Cabin Fever!

The snow and cold temperatures will not let up! I heard last night on NPR that Europe, China and US are all having hard winters, which is unusual. Thankfully we can be home bound, so we are. Here are some pictures over the last couple of days.
Molly is such a parrot, repeating everything, and i mean everything we say. :) I have read that children start putting 2 words together by 21 months. Our talented linguist is doing this. When she hears music she says, "shake it!" and she does a little booty shake, silly girl. Molly also reads her books to us, we point at objects and she tells us what they are. Smarty.
